Convention Headquarters
The
Hilton Raleigh-Durham Airport hotel at Research Triangle Park is
located 2.5 miles from the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and is
adjacent to the world-renowned Research Triangle Park (RTP). Situated
on a hilltop, just off Interstate 40, exit 282, the Hilton is known locally as "The Mansion on the Hill." The
hotel has the look of a stately southern mansion-home with a large, inviting
veranda at the front entrance. Wicker rocking chairs and swings are in

A well-appointed program has been prepared by the Tar Heel Detachment, in
conjunction with the Department of NC. Guest of honor and banquet speaker
will be MajGen Carl Jensen, Commanding General, Marine Installations East.
Early registrants may take advantage of a nine-hole competition
golf outing and/or pistol competition at a professional range. Information
and registration is available in the left column.
Shopping centers abound within easy driving distance. Tours
of historical Raleigh are available as well as such attractions as the
renowned Duke Gardens and several others.
The Tar Heel Detachment looks forward to your attendance and
